For instance, a camera can record the visible background for the crew on set while simultaneously outputting an invisible, camera-specific tracking feed or a dedicated green/blue screen matte for the visual effects pipeline.
Strict Certification Requirements for High-End Sets
Achieving GhostFrame Pro Certification is no casual software update. Megapixel instituted strict certification requirements to ensure absolute reliability on high-end sets. A camera system must prove its ability to capture and output two or more feeds simultaneously from a single physical body for the exact same production frame. It must maintain a capture window short enough to keep those feeds cleanly separated at standard broadcast and cinema frame rates, including 24p, 30p, 48p, 50p, and 60p. The hardware must also display two or more feeds live on a viewfinder or external monitor during active operation for immediate evidence capture.
Phantom Track and Sensor Engineering
The RED V-RAPTOR [X] series clears these hurdles by pairing a high-resolution, large-format sensor and global shutter capabilities with its native Phantom Track feature. When Phantom Track mode is engaged, the camera hardware supports the synchronized, camera-facing workflows required for GhostFrame Pro operation inside LED volumes.
