His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, affirmed the distinguished global position of the emirate in organizing sports tournaments in various games, and its main role in enhancing the competitiveness of the sports sector and achieving the country’s comprehensive development goals.
This came during His Highness’ attendance at the conclusion of the World Youth Karate League Championship, at the Zayed Sports Complex in the emirate, in the presence of Engineer Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the Emirati, Arab and Asian Fencing Federations, Antonio Spinos, President of the International Karate Federation, and his deputy, His Excellency Major General Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi, President The Emirati and Asian Karate Federations.
His Highness referred to the directives and interest of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, in developing the pillars of the sports sector and providing all regulatory and logistical requirements to host international competitions in Fujairah, in line with the state’s efforts and vision to improve the indicators of this sector in accordance with global competitive levels.
His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee in organizing the global event and achieving its goals, directing the need to continue constructive partnerships with sports institutions and international federations in order to advance the sports sector in general.
His Highness crowned the winners of this year’s league edition competitions, which were held under the patronage of His Highness, and received wide international participation from young players and representatives of karate clubs from various countries of the world.
The conclusion of the tournament was also attended by a number of managers, officials and athletes.
