Dominating, the Portuguese quickly found the fault via Otavio (15th) then Jota (42nd). After the break, Burak Yilmaz (65th) restarted the game and Turkey reduced the score, but Portugal held on and Matheus Nunes in stoppage time set the final score at 3-1. Portugal will face North Macedonia in the final.

Wales – Austria
In a packed Cardiff stadium, a great Gareth Bale propelled his team to the last round of the play-offs. The Real Madrid player scored twice (25th, 51st) including a superb free kick. Sabitzer (64th) relaunched Austria, but it was the Welsh who continued their way in these play-offs.

Sweden – Rep. Czech
The Sweden of Kristoffer Olsson (holder) went to seek their qualification at the end of the night. After 90 minutes without goals, it was in stoppage time that Quaison (110th) delivered Olof Andersson’s men. Sweden will challenge Poland to clinch the World Cup ticket.
