[영상] IAEA begins inspection of Ukra’s Zaporiza nuclear power plant… “Compromising the integrity of nuclear power plants”

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have launched an inspection of the Zaporiza nuclear power plant in Ukraine.

Russia seeks to justify its occupation by the IAEA’s ‘safe’ judgment, while Ukraine seeks to use it as an opportunity to withdraw the Russian military from nuclear power plants.

Ukraine and Russia are in a ‘network battle’ by shifting responsibility to each other.

IAEA inspectors arrived at the Zaporiza nuclear power plant on the 1st (local time) and checked the site with a delegation of Russian state-owned nuclear power plant company Rosatom.

IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi said, “We have gathered a lot of important information over the course of several hours, and we have identified what we need.”

He explained that the purpose of this inspection is to inspect nuclear and radiation safety facilities and to ensure that various protective measures are followed.
