They also announced that they would form a task force between Atlantic countries to identify regional assets of institutions and individuals subject to sanctions so that financial sanctions can be effectively implemented.
The Japanese government has also decided to join Russian President Vladimir Putin and others in freezing assets and excluding Russian banks from the SWIFT payment network.
