Even in Britain, where it is generally cool, as Europe is suffering from heatwave, the temperature has reached an all-time high of over 40 degrees.
The first heatwave warning in British history has been issued and has caused chaos, with rail and flights being affected.

Nearly 600 heat-related deaths were reported in Spain and Portugal last week, when temperatures reached 47 degrees Celsius.
As the heat wave spread to England, the temperature in Heathrow, London, reached 40.2 degrees Celsius as of 12:50 p.m., a record high in British history.
It is the highest temperature in the UK in 363 years of official statistical observations.

The UK Meteorological Agency has predicted that temperatures will continue to rise and might reach 42 degrees Celsius.
The previous record was 38.7 degrees Celsius in Cambridge in 2019.

British people, who have not had much heat even in summer, are bewildered by the sudden heat.
Daily life was also hit.
For safety reasons, the speed of railway operation was limited, and the number of delays or cancellations of the route has doubled as usual.
At London Luton Airport, runway problems caused all flights to be suspended for two hours.
About 200 UK schools have temporarily closed their classrooms or canceled early dismissals due to the unfamiliar heatwave.

At midnight on the 17th, the UK issued a heat wave red warning for the first time in history, mainly in London and other parts of England.
