In Canada, the healthcare scene is at risk as there is a huge shortage of nurses.

The situation is serious, with emergency rooms and intensive care units closing, and patients having to wait for a long time to see the medical staff.

More than 200 emergency rooms and intensive care units were closed across Canada this summer, according to the Federation of Canadian Nurses (CFNU).

The amount of time patients wait to see medical staff has also increased significantly.

Canada’s health care system is in such a crisis because the number of nurses has been greatly reduced.

The shortage of nurses is attributed to the large number of baby boomer nurses who have retired and the increase in retirements during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As of the first quarter of this year, it was estimated that there was a shortage of regarding 137,000 nurses across Canada.

The workload of the remaining nurses increased that much.

According to the results of a recently released survey, one in four nurses is willing to change jobs within three years, indicating that the shortage of nurses is likely to worsen.

The Canadian government recently revived the federal chief nurse, which it had removed 10 years ago, and said it would listen to the voices of nurses and address the shortage of manpower.

Each state has also taken measures, such as subsidizing education costs for nursing personnel who want to immigrate to Canada.

However, as we have already entered the third year of the outbreak of COVID-19, and the nurse community has consistently raised its voice, some point out that the government should respond more quickly.

Patients who want timely treatment and nurses in the field who are suffering from overwork are all hoping that the problem will be resolved as soon as possible.
