The city of Beijing, China, has once more indefinitely postponed the opening of front-line schools, which were supposed to start this week, indefinitely following a group of people infected with Corona 19 at a club last week.
Beijing city authorities announced that the cumulative number of infected people exceeded 220, with 51 additional confirmed yesterday (12th) following 8 people were infected at a club selling alcohol in Chaoyang District on the 9th.
Beijing City has decided to maintain the school ban for elementary and secondary schools, which was lifted this week, for the time being.
The city of Beijing has suspended classes in kindergartens and schools since April 29, and students have not been able to go to school for regarding a month and a half so far.
Beijing Municipal Health Authority said most of the visitors at the club were not wearing masks when the infection began, and that more than 8,600 close contacts are now quarantined at home.
In addition, all residents of Chaoyang District, which has a population of more than 3 million, are required to undergo daily gene-amplification testing for three consecutive days through Wednesday.
