Zvonareva lost in the third round of the WTA tournament in Miami, Kalinskaya withdrew from the competition

Russian tennis player Vera Zvonareva lost to Danielle Collins of the USA in the third round of the Miami Open. The match ended with the score 6:1, 6:4 in favor of the American. Another Russian Anna Kalinskaya withdrew from the third round, where she was supposed to play with Lucia Bronzetti from Italy.

37-year-old Zvonareva is ranked 117th in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking. She has 12 association titles to her credit. In 2010, she reached the finals of Wimbledon and the US Open, she is the bronze medalist of the 2008 Beijing Olympics in singles. 28-year-old Collins is ranked 11th in the ranking of tennis players. She is the winner of two WTA tournaments.

23-year-old Kalinskaya is ranked 84th in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). She has never won an association tournament.

Miami Open is an ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 tournament held in Miami. It will end April 3rd. The prize fund exceeds $8.3 million.
