2023-06-24 10:29:34

The Zurich Lions have found their fourth foreign player. They signed for two seasons the Swedish winger Jesper Fröden who arrives from the Coachella Valley Firebirds, a club playing in the AHL, the antechamber of the NHL.

Aged 28, Fröden has played the last two seasons in North America, but he has not been able to win in the NHL, either with the Boston Bruins (7 games) or the Seattle Kraken (15 games) .

The 1m79 forward, on the other hand, has scored 47 points (25 goals) in 44 AHL games this season. He added 10 points (5 goals) in 15 playoff games to lose the final in 7 games once morest the Hershey Bears.

The Zurichers therefore now have four imported players with goalkeeper Simon Hrubec, the Finns Mikko Lehtonen and Juho Lammikko and now Jesper Fröden.
