Zurich: Drug dealer is caught because he drove without lights

Drug discovery in District 5: On Monday evening, an employee of the Zurich City Police Department’s “Bike Police” noticed a cyclist who, despite the darkness, was traveling without lights. As the city police announced on Tuesday, the police officer first wanted to stop the cyclist, check it and point out the missing light. But at that moment the e-biker turned his bike and drove away. However, following regarding a kilometer of driving, the city police officer managed to catch up with the cyclist.

According to the police, the fugitive gave up his resistance following a short use of irritants, so that the officer might carry out the check. The Zurich city police seized around two dozen portions of marijuana – around 220 grams – and around 90 grams of hashish and over 4,000 francs in cash from his backpack. The 22-year-old Swiss was taken to a police station for further clarification.
