“We have a large network of volunteers who can support the fugitives when they go to the authorities, etc. In this way we can make a major contribution,” says Ivana Mehr, who is responsible for migration at the Evangelical-Reformed Church in the Canton of Zurich. Ukrainian refugees in Zurich also sought help from the Jewish community. Among other things, a phone number set up, where the fugitives might register, says Jacques Lande, President of the Zurich Jewish Cult Community. One is regularly in contact with around 70 refugees.
