The 31-year-old said goodbye via Instagram with thanks to the club, the fans, the coaches and his teammates. The Wels native played 62 competitive games for the first division club, in which he scored twelve goals and prepared 20. The season ended on Saturday with a 2-2 draw against Zheijang in ninth place.
The eleven-time ÖFB team player left it open where things would continue. “It’s no secret: My family, he and I would like to play together one day,” said brother Robert Zulj two years ago, shortly after moving to LASK. At that time, his brother, who was 16 months younger, was also looking for a club, but decided on China. In the “kicker” interview, the current LASK captain specified his dream: He did not mean a parallel end to his career in the lower house. “That applies to the professional level – ideally here in the Bundesliga. That’s absolutely realistic. We definitely want to play together somewhere, ideally at LASK. Let’s see what the future brings.”

**Interview with Robert Žulj on Farewell to LASK**
**Interviewer:** Robert, thank you for joining us. You recently said goodbye to LASK after two years. How did it feel to leave the club, and what emotions were running through you?
**Robert Žulj:** Thank you for having me. It was an emotional moment for sure. LASK has been like a second home to me since I joined. The fans, coaches, and my teammates have made my time here truly special. Saying goodbye was not easy, but I’m grateful for the experiences and memories we’ve created together.
**Interviewer:** You played 62 competitive matches for LASK, scoring 12 goals and assisting 20 times. Looking back, which match or moment stands out to you the most?
**Robert Žulj:** There have been so many great moments! If I had to choose, I’d say the matches where we managed to come back from behind. Those games truly showcased our resilience and team spirit. Also, connecting with the fans and celebrating together after a victory was always unforgettable.
**Interviewer:** You mentioned your desire to play alongside your brother in the future. Can you share more about that dream?
**Robert Žulj:** Yes, my brother and I have always talked about the idea of playing together one day. It’s been a dream of ours since childhood. While he chose to play in China, we both have ambitions to reunite on a professional level. Ideally, that would be in the Bundesliga, maybe even at LASK. We’ll just have to see how our paths unfold.
**Interviewer:** LASK recently finished the season in ninth place after a draw. What are your thoughts on the team’s performance, and what do you think needs to change for the coming seasons?
**Robert Žulj:** The team showed potential, but there were ups and downs throughout the season. Consistency is key in football. I believe that with the right adjustments and perhaps new player acquisitions, LASK can regain its competitive edge and fight for the top positions again. I genuinely wish them the best moving forward.
**Interviewer:** As you move on to your next chapter, what can fans expect from you in the future?
**Robert Žulj:** I hope to take the energy and experience I gained from LASK and apply it wherever I go next. I’m committed to improving as a player and contributing positively to my next team, wherever that might be. Fans can expect hard work, dedication, and hopefully more goals!
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Robert. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and hope to see you back in action soon!
**Robert Žulj:** Thank you! I appreciate the support.
