When Meta Connectthe boss of the American firm unveiled the Meta Quest Pro, the new virtual reality headset fans have been waiting for.
The VR headset has several features, including a chip Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 112 GB of RAM is 256 GB of storage space. According to Qualcomm, this chip would improve the performance of the headset by 50% compared to the Quest 2.
The new lenses allow the user to have a good image quality. The Meta teams did a great job improving contrast and sharpness by 75%. In addition, the helmet is 40% more compact than the Quest 2 and gains 37% pixels per inch.
The autonomy of the headset may disappoint users: 2 hours. To charge it to 100%, it takes up to 2 hours as well. For the moment, the engineers of Zuckerberg’s company are not able to develop a VR headset that lasts several hours in a row.
Note that the official launch of the Meta Quest Pro will take place on October 25. Its price will be 1799 euros.
