As expected, the ZTE brand has formalized the release of its new high-end smartphone, the Z50 Ultra. It features a very advanced technical configuration with 3 photo sensors on the back, a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a camera under the screen and a large battery. Here are all the details while waiting for its marketing in France.
The ZTE brand has just formalized the commercial launch in China of the new high-end smartphone, ZTE Z50 Ultra which succeeds the Z40 Ultra. This model benefits from an extremely advanced configuration in order to compete with the market leaders.
The ZTE Z50 Ultra is equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display diagonally with extremely thin edges. It has a rather rectangular design that is reminiscent of that of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra but also of its gaming cousin, the Red Magic 8 Pro. The screen has a 120 Hz maximum refresh rate. It houses a camera underneath. it’s regarding the fourth generation of this technology developed by the manufacturer of the panel, BOE. It is a 16 megapixel sensor for taking selfies.
The ZTE Z50 Ultra features a 5000 mAh capacity battery supporting the load at 80 watts. It is Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC. It’s powered by today’s fastest processor for Android smartphones, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is offered with 8, 12 or 16 GB of RAM and storage capacities of 256, 512 GB and 1 TB, without the possibility of expanding the internal memory. The mobile works under Android 13 with a MyOS 13 software overlay.
The mobile is equipped with a push button that allows you to put the smartphone in mute mode, to switch to gaming mode to optimize performance or to take photos.
For photos, the ZTE Z50 Ultra is equipped with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 main sensor with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and one 64 megapixel telephoto lens.
The device has dimensions of 169.9×76.3 mm for a profile of 8.3 mm and a weight of 228 grams.
The new ZTE Z50 Ultra smartphone is currently announced on the Chinese market. It will be available for a price starting from the equivalent of €540 excluding VAT. We will see when it will be offered in France and at what price.
