ZTE AXON 40 will be launched on May 9 with an under-display camera

ZTE is preparing to launch the ZTE Axon 40 smartphone In the market. We haven’t heard much regarding this phone, but apparently, ZTE has been working hard to get it ready in the past months. The company will present the new device on May 9. And as usual in this lineup, the ZTE Axon 40 will introduce under-display camera technology. In fact, it should be a new version of the company’s technology. The ZTE Axon 20 was the first commercially available device with an under-display camera. The company has improved the technology inside the ZTE Axon 30. Now, we are regarding to see the third commercial iteration of ZTE’s under-screen camera technology.

According to recent leaks, the new generation of the camera under the display will bring huge improvements. Therefore, it will not be possible to distinguish the part of the screen from the rest of the panel. Now, new information suggests that the device’s density will reach 400dpi. Once once more, the camera will highlight this device’s lineup. Unfortunately, details are still scarce, but a report says the phone will come in Quad HD+ resolution. Moreover, we expect the panel to be OLED. In terms of specifications, the device may come with a mid-range processor. Neither the ZTE Axon 20 nor the 30 comes with the flagship devices. Therefore, we expect the ZTE Axon 40 to be a flagship. It may come with a Snapdragon 778G series chip, or even a MediaTek Dimensity SoC. Dimension 8100 or even 9000 are reasonable options here. Both can withstand QHD + resolution.
