Quietly, Zoom released a safety bulletin on
a vulnerability in the automatic update processfor its software ZOOM Cloud Meetings for macOS. The latter concerns versions from 5.7.3 and before 5.11.5. It is indicated that this flaw could be exploited by a
low-privilege local user to gain root privileges on the operating system. But a solution has been implemented with this version 5.11.5, with a patch that – apparently – solves the problem. This can be downloaded from the publisher’s website.
