For almost three decades, Dr. Elisabetta Musitelli cared for generations of children in the Lower Brembana Valley and the Serina Valley. It’s no exaggeration to say that children from Zogno, Ubiale Clanezzo, Val Brembilla, Sedrina, Blello, and Val Serina, and countless others, knew Dr. Claudio as a beloved pediatrician.

Now, the time has come for Dr. Musitelli to retire.

“One of the greatest satisfactions is seeing that the children I have looked after and who are now mothers and fathers have chosen me as their children’s pediatrician. It means that they appreciated my work,” Dr. Musitelli says warmly, reflecting on her time serving the Brembana Valley.

Her journey began in 1996. Preceded by emergency Medical Care, she eventually founded her practice in Zogno. Since then, she has seen Val Brembana through many transformations – and faces its challenges openly.

“Healthcare in the valley

has changed,” she says. “The San Giovanni Bianco hospital has been downsized, and some skills were not valorized. This is truly a cultural richness disappeared. We need to network, between doctors and administrators. Let’s hope that community houses will be able to recover what has been lost.”
