This decision splits minds: candidate Zoey Safka (26) flies from season 18 following just four episodes “Germany’s Next Topmodel”. Comrades-in-arms and fans are shocked, even she doesn’t agree with her Retire expected. But not everyone is sad that Zoey did not get a photo from Heidi Klum when making the decision. The 26-year-old also conceded quite a lot for her departure criticism.

Three candidates were in the final decision in the struggle for progress to the next round, Emilia, Eliz and Zoey. The surprising thing: All three are eliminated. Heidi asked Zoey how she assessed her performance, whereupon the model candidate said: “I noticed that unfortunately you were not satisfied in the photo shoot. Of course that disappointed me a lot because I personally felt confident.” Heidi explained that the spark did not fly and the poses at the photo shoot did not sit. Telling the 26-year-old that her journey ends here, Zoey broke down in tears backstage.
Zoey is stunned
The GNTM candidate did not expect that: “I’m out. ME. That really can’t be,” Zoey sobs. And adds: “No one expected me to get kicked out. Now you can eat my gluten-free bread.”
She also expresses her disappointment with the decision on her Instagram account. During a question and answer session, many followers are dismayed: “I’m shocked, how can YOU be kicked out”, whereupon Zoey only adds the word “Blind” and a glasses emoji as an answer. When asked by a user why she doesn’t criticize herself, Zoey replies: “Because I’ve always been good.”
Criticism for Zoey’s “arrogant” manner
This self-confident manner does not go down well with all viewers. Under the YouTubevideo showing the expulsion, a number of critical comments can be found. “Zoey is right out! What does she imagine as if she were the supermodel”, “How arrogant can you be” or “Zoey, honestly I’m out! It really can’t be! What does she think? Well, the good girl has delusions, she really believes she is a model”, are some statements.
