Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognevich told where her father is now and what he is doing, who flatly refused to leave his homeland and devoted himself to saving Ukrainians. Remembering their first meeting in six months, the artist might not hold back her bitter tears.
Leonid Bordyug, the star’s father, is a military surgeon, and now he is performing complex operations in the Kharkov region. The artist spoke regarding this in a new show “Song of my life” having ordered the composition Whitney Houston – I Will Always Love You.
“Behind this song is the story of my relationship with my dad. He is my doctor. He saved a lot of human lives, and when the full-scale invasion began, I asked him: “Let me take you somewhere with your mom. I’m very worried regarding you.” And dad told me: “I’m not leaving here. “Don’t even think regarding it.” Dad went to help the wounded. He now works as a doctor in the Kharkov region and helps our children who are being brought,” the artist said, bursting into tears.
She paused for ten seconds to calm down. The performer emphasized that she must be strong, but memories of her dad always cause a storm of emotions in the star.
“This is very difficult, I’m sorry. I’m doing well, everyone is alive and well, but when dad arrived following six months of staying in this hospital, I didn’t recognize him. He was just a completely different person. His eyes were very sad, he My heart really hurts for our guys. He is such an empathic person, he has already performed many operations and amputations,” the star shared.
Despite this, Zlata Ognevich is proud of her father, who decided to stay with the Ukrainian, help and save, although he might have gone abroad and quietly retired.
“This is an example of a man who might have rested at home, but he chose a different path. Dad is an example of strength for me, and when I think that it’s very difficult, I remember the stories regarding guys that dad told, and I think that I don’t have the right to give up,” the singer added.
