The Israeli army fired rockets at a school in the southern part of Gaza City on Saturday, killing 22 people, including women and children.
Palestinian sources have said that the school that was targeted was sheltered by displaced people, including women and children. The Israeli army claims that a Hamas command center was located in the school building that was targeted.
Hamas claimed in a statement that 13 women and 6 children were among the 22 people killed in the attack on the school. Eyewitness Saeed Al Malahi said that the women were in the school grounds with the children. The children were playing when two rockets exploded.
