The Austrian team players Manuela Zinsberger and Laura Wienroither have to worry regarding a place in the group stage of the Champions League with Arsenal London.
Arsenal only drew 2-2 with goalkeeper Zinsberger in the second round first leg once morest Ajax Amsterdam in London on Tuesday. Sarah Zadrazil, on the other hand, has good chances with Bayern Munich. Bayern won 1-0 at Real Sociedad San Sebastian without Zadrazil, who was absent due to a positive corona test.
In London, Zinsberger was defeated twice by Romee Leuchter (to 0:1/18th and 2:2/83rd). Arsenal quickly leveled the early deficit through Stina Blackstenius (23′) and then twice through Steph Catley (47′) and Souza Rafaelle (54′) before Kim Little put the English team ahead with a penalty (57′). But Leuchter struck a second time. Wienroither was not used.
The second leg will be played next week, the promoted teams qualify for the group stage.
