The Zimbabwe cricket team has reached Pakistan to participate in the ODI and T20 series, but coach Lal Chand, who is from India, did not come to Pakistan with the team.
The strained relations between India and Pakistan are not only limited to the mutual matches of the two teams, but now the Indian coach of the Zimbabwean team also could not accompany the team on the tour of Pakistan due to this reason.
The Pakistani embassy in Harare had issued a visa to Lal Chand Rajput for the visit, but the Indian embassy had written to Zimbabwe Cricket requesting exemption from the visit.

The Indian Embassy had written that due to the Indian government’s policies regarding the travel of its citizens, Indian citizen Lal Chand Rajput should be exempted from the limited overs tour of Pakistan.
Zimbabwe Cricket approved the Indian government’s request and exempted the head coach from the tour.
In the absence of head coach Lal Chand Rajput, Zimbabwe has appointed bowling coach Douglas Hondo as the acting head coach for the ODI and T20I series against Pakistan.
It should be noted that the Zimbabwean team has arrived in Pakistan today to play the limited overs series.
The series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will consist of three ODIs and three T20Is, starting from October 30.
The first one-day cricket match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be played on October 30 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, after which the two teams will play the second and third one-day matches on November 1 and 3.
After that, the Zimbabwe cricket team will travel to Lahore, where after practice on November 5 and 6, they will play the first T20 match at the Gaddafi Stadium on November 7.
The remaining two T20 matches of the series will be played on November 8 and 10, and on November 12, Zimbabwe will leave for Harare.
