The “zero result” of the transfer movement announced by the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports for financial affairs inspectors has caused great anger among the ranks of the National Committee of Education Inspectors.
In a protest statement, the committee affiliated with the National Union of Education – Democratic Trend criticized “the ministry’s announcement of the results of the transitional movement of inspectors late in the school year, without considering its importance to those concerned and their families and its impact on their social and psychological stability.”
The committee, which includes inspectors of the national education sector, conveyed “the anger and resentment of financial affairs inspectors due to the zero and non-existent results of the transfers of this category,” denouncing “their remaining in their appointed positions far from their families despite the presence of new graduates and the vacancy of many positions due to partial retirement.”
The same source reported that “participation in the transitional movement of this category has become useless,” highlighting that “the process has become controlled and responds to some at the expense of a category that has a role in the educational system in general.”
The National Committee of Education Inspectors held the Ministry of National Education responsible for “the consequences of this entitlement and its impact on the morale of all those affiliated with the category,” calling on the latter to “correct this disastrous result by opening an exceptional transitional movement in proportion to the actual deficit in the regions.”
On the other hand, the committee called on “all male and female inspectors who are victims of this exceptional measure to mobilize collectively and prepare for the struggle to formulate a protest response at the level of the attack on the gains of this group.”
In response to this issue, Abdel Razzaq Al-Idrisi, a member of the National Union of Education – Democratic Orientation, revealed that “the Ministry of National Education’s failure to accept requests for transfer movement in favor of inspectors of material and economic affairs at the national level is unacceptable.”
Al-Idrisi explained that “the request to benefit from the transfer movement is often driven by a desire to join the family or settle with the children in the event that they move to cities other than their own to continue their studies, and these are all legitimate motives worthy of the ministry’s attention.”
The spokesman stressed that “what is required now, and urgently, is to open an exceptional transitional movement for these inspectors to remedy their deprivation of this legitimate right and allow them to move for the sake of their family, social and psychological stability,” stressing that “accepting their transfer encourages them to give and contribute to developing the system more than their remaining in the spaces in which they spent many years.”
