“Zero Hunger” Business Roundtable will be held in Amambay on Friday, September 27

Asunción, IP Agency.- On Friday, September 27, the business conference organized by the Ministry of Social Development MDS, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce MIC, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock MAG and the Government of Amambay will take place within the framework of the Zero Hunger Program. The meeting will take place in the Francisco Almeida Art Gallery Hall

The business roundtable is designed to facilitate the connection between micro, small and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) and family farming products with the companies awarded the Zero Hunger Program, ensuring that 5% of purchases are made from MSMEs and 10% to family farming producers.

During the first edition of the business conference, held in San Lorenzo, more than 600 people were registered, and a total of 320 meetings were held, 70% MSMEs and 30% producers, the numbers reflect the success of this tool to connect the supply and demand, highlighting key microbusinesses and entrepreneurs.

The second edition was held in the department of Paraguarí, where a total of 49 people had the opportunity to present their products to those responsible for the company that won the award for the Zero Hunger Program. Of this number, 22 were micro, small and medium-sized companies and 27 were producers.

The 3rd. edition of the Business Roundtable, held in Caazapá, closed with the presence of 17 microentrepreneurs and 48 producers at the negotiating tables, and with a business potential estimated at G. 1.7 billion.

The fourth edition of the Mipymes and Family Agriculture Business Roundtable was held in Guairá, and resulted in business intentions for more than G. 3,000 million, with some 122 rounds of negotiations divided between the suppliers of the Zero Hunger Project in the schools.

The Government of the Department of Boquerón, in collaboration with the Vice Ministry of MSMEs and the National Directorate of Entrepreneurship, launched the fifth edition of the business conference under the “Zero Hunger” program.

A total of 86 organizations participated in the Business Roundtable for MSMEs and Family Agriculture, in the department of Cordillera. Of this total, 54 were producers and 32 were microenterprises. An estimate of about Gs was achieved. 4,230 million in business opportunities.

The seventh edition of the business roundtable was held in Canindeyú and brought together 50 organizations, including MSMEs and family farmers, generating around 4.5 billion guaraníes in business intentions.

The eighth edition of the Business Roundtable for MSMEs and Family Farming producers was held in Caaguazú and had the participation of 83 organizations, of which 31% were microenterprises, while 69% corresponded to fruit and vegetable producers, generating a value of Gs. 16.3 billion in commercial potential.

The department of Misiones was the scene of the tenth edition of the Business Roundtable for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and family farming producers, a key event within the Zero Hunger Program in schools, an event promoted by the MIC .

In total, the Zero Hunger business roundtables in Ñeembucú and Boquerón generated G. 4,294 million in business intentions, with 72 participants who offered their products and services. The activity was carried out jointly between the ministries of Social Development (MDS), Industry and Commerce (MIC), Agriculture and Livestock (MAG), with the support of the governorates of said departments and their municipalities.

Another business conference was held in the city of Hohenau, department of Itapúa, within the framework of the Zero Hunger in schools program. According to the report from the Ministry of Social Development, agreements and business intentions were generated for a total value of G. 10,348 million. A total of 59 organizations participated in the event, with 41% representing MSMEs and 59% farmers. The organizers estimated that the business potential reached Gs. 4,927 million.
