The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Selenskyj has his compatriots a reconquest of all of Russia promised occupied territories. In his video speech on Monday evening, however, he only hinted at the new Ukrainian counter-offensive in the south of the country. No one who behaves responsibly will say anything regarding their plans during the war, the president said.

“But the occupiers should know: We’re driving them across the border. Our border, where nothing has changed,” Zelenskyy said in Kyiv. “If the Russian soldiers want to survive, now is the time to go home.” Those who are afraid of returning to Russia should surrender. “We guarantee them compliance with all the norms of the Geneva Conventions.”

Zelenskyj: “One can forget the legend of the Russian great power”

In a video link to an EU conference in Bled, Slovenia, Zelenskyy said there was nothing to negotiate with Russia. Moscow first issued an ultimatum for the Crimean peninsula and the Donbass, now it is demanding further areas in the south of the Ukraine. “They will be demanding more territories from us in six months.” Russia without Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic States and Kazakhstan would no longer be the mighty Soviet Union. “The legend of the great power can be forgotten. And we will prove it on the battlefield.”
