Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for Russia’s withdrawal from the UN Security Council, saying that the Russian military invading the country on the 5th (local time) is like the Islamic State (IS) extremist terrorist group.
President Zelensky made this claim following giving a real-time video speech at the UN Security Council meeting on the same day and reporting on the ‘secondary massacre’ in which at least 300 civilians are known to have been killed. He made the conference hall mournful by showing a 90-second video showing the unfiltered remains of civilian victims, including children, from Bucha, Irfin, Dimerka, and Mariupol.
President Zelensky, who visited the vice-car the day before, said, “These people were killed in their home by a grenade explosion, and the Russian military crushed civilians in cars with tanks only for fun.” He cut off his limbs and beheaded his head.”
“Women were raped and then killed in front of their children,” Zelensky said.
He called the Russian invasion “the most horrific war crimes committed in Ukraine since World War II.”
Regarding Russia, which is a permanent member of the Security Council, he said, “We are dealing with a country that uses the Security Council veto for a right of death. urged
He also criticized the Security Council itself. “Where is the security that the Security Council should guarantee? He said, “If there is no other alternative, your next option will be to dismantle it.” “Are you ready to close the door of the UN? Is the era of international law over?” he asked. “If not, you must act now. Responsibility is inevitable.”
Zelensky also said that hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians are being forced to migrate to Russia, saying that “Russia wants to make Ukraine a silent slave”.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who attended the meeting, said, “I cannot forget the gruesome photos of the civilians killed in the secondary vehicle.”
