According to the aforementioned press agency, Ukrinform, the Ukrainian president decided to relieve from his post the hitherto commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of his Army, the soldier Yurii Halushkin, who had assumed the position since the first day of this year.

The announcement of this new decision in the command of the defense or resistance of the Ukrainian Army, is known at a time when bloody battles are being waged between the Ukrainians and the Russians, for the control of territories in Donbas, and in the south of the country. , then, according to US intelligence sources in recent days, Russia’s intentions would be aimed at forming a corridor that connects the pro-Russian region (in which it already exercises control), with Crimea, territories that it annexed (without international recognition) in 2014.

On this war, the Ukrainian president affirmed this Sunday that this new week new activities will be developed to contain the Russian advance, also warning that there will be an important international action aimed at the support that Western countries provide to Ukraine, can be maximized in arms delivery, and financial resources.

Recently, by local Ukrainian authorities, two important achievements in defense matters had been announced, referring to the destruction of the most powerful war tank that the Russian troops would have, as well as the withdrawal of the uniformed invaders who wanted to take over the city of Kharkiv, the second most important in the country, and in which, as in kyiv, the resistance achieved the withdrawal of the usurpers.

To these victories, this Sunday might be added that, according to international media reports, Ukrainian troops managed to shoot down two helicopter-borne ships, more war tanks, and a significant number of armored vehicles that mark important points of the advance of the Kremlin envoys.

Regarding this conflict, so far this week, and before the members of the UN Security Council, Delegates from Unicef, a United Nations entity for the protection of children, condemned the bombings that have been carried out on educational institutions in Ukrainewarning that one in four schools in that country have been seriously affected.

The United States promises more aid

This Sunday, international media have also collected excerpts from the meeting held on May 15 between the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba at a meeting in Berlin.

According to the White House, the meeting discussed the most recent ‘US aid package’, aimed at supporting the defense of Ukraine.

Beyond that issue, there would also have been talk of commercial aspects, and the impacts of the war on world food security, due to the vacuum that the absence of food exports such as wheat, produced in Ukraine.
