Ukrainian President Zelensky canceled a video conference with U.S. senators on the 5th. He was originally expected to ask the United States to continue to support Ukraine in resisting Russia’s invasion.
The Guardian reported that U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that Zelensky would not be able to participate in the classified briefing because “something came up at the last minute.” Zelensky was scheduled to deliver a speech to senators via Zoom on the followingnoon of the 5th.
