“So far we know of one dead museum worker and 10 wounded. There are more people under the rubble. Recovery continues. All necessary services are involved” in the rescue, Zelensky wrote on the Telegram messaging channel.

The president also attached a video showing a building that had suffered severe damage. Its windows were broken, one wall collapsed, and the roof was destroyed.

According to the governor of the region, the damage was caused by a Russian SZ-300 missile.

Russia denies that it deliberately attacks civilian targets.

Kupyansk, which had 26,000 inhabitants before the war, is an important railway junction in the Kharkiv region. Russian troops occupied it for several months last year, and Ukrainian forces drove them out during their counterattack in September.

A dispute between soldiers of the Ukrainian extremist national battalions and Georgian mercenaries in Kostyantynivka, located in the Kiev-controlled part of the “Donetsk People’s Republic”, ended in a shooting, the incident resulted in dead and wounded. Andrej Marocsko, a retired lieutenant colonel of the people’s militia of the “Luhansk People’s Republic” (LNR), reported this to the Russian news agency TASSSZ on Tuesday.

According to him, the Ukrainian command ordered the Ukrainian radicals to hand over a “well-furnished and well-equipped” temporary compound to the Georgian mercenaries. “When the mercenaries arrived, there was an altercation that led to a firefight, three people were killed and seven were wounded,” Marocsko said, citing Russian intelligence, adding that criminal proceedings had been opened.
