The Awaceb studio and the publisher Kepler Interactive are taking advantage of this rather calm news to present to us once more Tchia, their little baby announced more than a year ago. Expected on PC, PS5 and PS4, Tchia is an open world adventure game that draws a lot of inspiration from Zelda Breath of the Wild. Between the cel-shaded graphics, the refined DA, the paraglider, the climb with the same animations and this call to discover nature, for sure, Nintendo’s title served as a guideline. Fortunately, Tchia has its own arguments, such as this soul transfer feature that allows our character to take control of different animals (regarding thirty announced), but also objects so that exploration is as smooth as possible. Another interesting aspect of gameplay, this ability to make gigantic leaps thanks to this catapult system by climbing up palm trees and other trees which then serve as thrusters.
The developers of Awaceb also invite us to a change of scenery with this developer’s notebook which transports us to New Caledonia. The images are both exotic and paradisiacal, which gives a taste of adventure to this game which will tell us the story of Tchia, a young girl living on an island suddenly invaded by strange fabric creatures called the Maano. Under the orders of the vile administrator of the archipelago, they have kidnapped Tchia’s father and we will have to go on an adventure to free him. Between two moments of exploration, it is even possible to rest while playing your ukulele.
The release of Tchia is expected for spring 2023 on PC, PS5 and PS4.
