A few days ago, we introduced you a fan project (calling himself Harbour Master) aiming to make a PC port of The Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time in reverse engineering. That is to say that the developers started from scratch without using the resources of the game but by analyzing them to find the process of creation. A technique to redo the game from A to Z but also and above all to “improve” it by bringing for example new options and new compatibilities (widescreen, 60fps, mods, etc.) For more details see our previous news.
But now another PC port of the Zelda of the N64 reminds us of our good memories! This time it is the work of a team of two people by a small team of two people led by a certain Zeal. the project will already be “almost fully playable”. To get a more precise idea, find the description of the port and even images thanks to a gameplay video.
This is a native port of Ocarina of Time on PC, with widescreen and scaling support. Soon many more features will be added such as 60fps. All of these images are 100% real and the project is almost fully playable. Although there are minor issues in this very first gameplay footage, they will soon be fixed.
Obviously, it should be remembered, these two ports are not official and we can expect Nintendo to be interested in them sooner or later. but when we see what fans manage to do, we think that Nintendo would be well advised to… be inspired by it. As always, let us know what you think in the comments.
