The Attorney General’s Office will investigate money confiscated from the Head of the Legal and Judicial Training Agency of the Supreme Court (MA), Zarof Ricar, amounting to almost IDR 1 trillion and gold weighing 51 kg related to bribery in case management at the judiciary. It is believed that this money does not only come from the case management of the murder defendant Ronald Tannur, the defendant in the murder case of Dini Sera Afrianti.

The aim of investigating the confiscated money is to find out where the money came from. If it is discovered, investigators from the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (JAM-Pidsus) can investigate the wider practice of case brokering at the Supreme Court.

“Regarding the Rp. 920 billion plus (gold) 51 kg, it will be investigated. That’s where it came from, where it went. So if you have any information, no matter how small, just convey it to investigators,” said Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Center, Harli Siregar, at the Attorney General’s Complex, Jakarta. , Thursday (31/10).

According to Harli, Zarof has the burden of proving the reverse. This mechanism aims to explain the source of the evidence in the form of money and gold. He explained that currently Roundhouse investigators are still reviewing and exploring electronic evidence to construct information on alleged corruption.

Harli explained that the current focus of the investigation regarding Zarof was the relationship between receiving money from Ronald’s lawyer, Lisa Rachmat.

“That’s what opens, then we enter this case, what will happen from this door (what happens next). If the door doesn’t open, use the proof model for those who accept (Zarof),” he concluded. (Tri/M-4)
