O ChatGPT can now be integrated into WhatsApp so that the user can access the OpenAI chatbot more quickly. This possibility is so convenient that it has even earned a nickname: ZapGPT. The reason for this is that in Brazil there is an application that imitated Meta’s WhatsApp, “ZapZap”, in addition to WhatsApp itself being referred to as “ZapZap”.
ChatGPT is a chatbot that is built on top of the GPT 3.5 language model with minor adjustments made through machine learning to better handle text analysis and informal conversations. Although there is no official or direct way to incorporate it into the WhatsApp user’s account, there are some methods that allow this to facilitate access to OpenAI’s artificial intelligence.
The first way to integrate WhatsApp with ChatGPT is to create a WhatsApp bot and link it to ChatGPT. Another way to do this is to define your WhatsApp number using a Python script and opening ChatGPT simultaneously. See below the step by step to apply both methods.
ZapGPT: How to Chat with Artificial Intelligence on WhatsApp
First way to integrate WhatsApp with ChatGPT
One way to integrate ChatGPT with WhatsApp is by creating a bot. To do this, register in the WhatsApp Business programming interface (API) and create a flow for the chat. Then use a chat developer, follow your chatbot and put the API chatbot on your smartphone.
Now you have to get an API from OpenAI. To do so, create an OpenAI account and visit the key page of the programming interface. Create a secret key here.
Lastly, use the OpenAI API to connect to the WhatsApp bot you created. Note that there are chances of WhatsApp blocking your account if the system does not find a genuine integration. That is, this procedure will be at your own risk.
Second way to integrate ChatGPT with WhatsApp
This method was created by developer named Daniel. To integrate ChatGPT with WhatsApp, download the code from GitHub and follow the steps below.
Step 01: Download the code from the GitHub website.
Step 02: Click ‘download zip’ to download the file.
Step 03: Then run the ‘Whatsapp-gpt-main’ file in the terminal.
Step 04: Run ‘server.py’ registry in terminal
Step 05: Now type ‘Is’ and hit enter.
Step 06: Type ‘python server.py’. Your phone will be automatically configured for the OpenAI visit page.
Step 07: The next step is to verify that you are human. Check the box I am a human.
Step 08: Go to your WhatsApp account and you will find OpenAI ChatGPT integrated there.
Below there is a video showing the step by step more clearly.
Conclusion
As it turns out, the second way to integrate ChatGPT with WhatsApp is the most elaborate and secure one. We recommend that, if you really want this feature within Meta’s instant messaging application, follow the step by step of the second method presented in this tutorial.
