Gabriella Ligetiné Komáromi, the Fidesz-KDNP candidate, received the most votes in today’s interim municipal representative election held in the 8th electoral district in Budakesz, Magyar Nemzet reports. The head of the local Szivárný Óvoda ran in the colors of the governing parties in the district representing roughly ten percent of the city’s population. According to the final data of the National Election Commission, Gabriella Ligetiné Komáromi won 52.86 percent of the votes in Budakeszi municipal district 8, thus winning the mandate.
Gabriella Ligetiné Komáromi was already a representative between 2014 and 2019, and is currently an external member of the education, culture and health committee of the Budakesz Municipality.
