The Zamalek club has announced the suspension of the registration of its players for the next summer transfer period, within the Egyptian Football League, due to late payments to Moroccan striker Khaled Boutayeb.
The club said in a statement: “The Zamalek club has received an official letter from the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), indicating that the club has been suspended from registration until the payment of the contribution of Moroccan player Khaled Boutayeb , estimated at 2.4 million euros. are paid.”
He added: “The case began circulating in 2020, following the player filed a complaint with the club before the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to have his contract terminated by the club. The previous board of directors appointed the Italian lawyer Salvatore. Chevalli to defend him in this matter, and his mission continued until the final decision was made before the current board of directors took over the management of the club.
He continued: “The club’s board of directors, led by Hussein Labib, confirms that it is working hard to manage the consequences of this problem until the date of registration for the new season, noting that the board of administration dealt during the last period with issues that had a similar impact, inherited from previous councils, and managed to manage these issues “effectively, objectively and transparently”.
He explained: “The Council emphasizes that it will spare no effort, time or money to address this issue and find what satisfies the ambitions and desires of its fans.”
