The Egyptian artist, Zaki Fateen Abdel Wahab, died, on Sunday morning, at the age of 61, following a years-long struggle with cancer.
The funeral of the late will take place this followingnoon from the Sayeda Nafisa Mosque in the center of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, according to the Egyptian Actors Syndicate.
The late was suffering from lung cancer, which he discovered 3 years ago, before he received radiotherapy, but then he discovered that he had a brain tumor.

And he continued to suffer for a long time following the cancer returned and became active once more, to enter in the last days in a difficult condition, which prompted the director Khaled Al-Hajar to ask everyone to pray for him.
Zaki Fateen Abdel Wahab, son of the late director Fateen Abdel Wahab and his mother Laila Murad, graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema, Directing Department, to begin his journey as an assistant with Ali Badrakhan in the movie “Ahl al-Qimma” and then worked as an assistant with Youssef Chahine.
During his career as an actor, he presented nearly 50 artworks, most notably his participation in the series “Ahl Cairo”, “Between Heaven and Earth”, “The End” and “Rahim”.
While his last participation in the movie “The Spider” was with Ahmed El-Sakka, and the film has not yet been shown, and for the past period he has been unable to perform surgery to remove the tumor because of its spread in the body.
Which prompted him to comment on the matter that cancer became a friend of his, especially as it initially infected him with the lung and then returned to be in the brain, before it was the cause of his death in the end.
