Zakharova reveals how the United States tried to strike Russia

“One of the tasks of the so-called collective West, primarily Washington and London, which was set before the Kiev regime and which was well paid for, was to disrupt Russia’s cooperation with Western European countries in the energy sector and turn it into an endless, unsolvable problem, although this problem does not exist,” Zakharova added.

Zakharova recalled the bombing of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, describing it as “the final stage of villainy” on the part of the West.

Hungary and Slovakia had called for a meeting of the European Union countries, after Kiev obstructed oil supplies from Russia to Hungary and Slovakia, which pass through the Ukrainian part of the Druzhba pipeline.

The Kiev regime has imposed a ban on the transit of oil via Lukoil, although Russian oil supplies via these pipelines are exempt from European sanctions.

The move threatens the operation of refineries in Slovakia and Hungary, as Russia’s Lukoil is a major supplier of oil to the two European countries.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico pointed out that restrictions on the transit of Russian oil would harm Ukraine itself. He pointed out that the Slovak refinery Slovneft, which needs Russian oil, “supplies Ukraine with large quantities of diesel, which of course will stop.”

He stressed that he discussed the current situation with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in order to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

For his part, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that Budapest will prevent paying compensation to European countries for arms supplies to Ukraine until Kiev resolves the issue of Russian oil transit.
