Zakharova reacted to the statement of Medvedchuk’s wife about captured British

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that London should give a prompt response to the request of the wife of the leader of the Opposition Platform – For Life party, Viktor Medvedchuk, Oksana Marchenko. She previously announced the capture of British mercenaries in the Donbass and called for them to be exchanged for her husband.

In his TelegramOn the channel, Zakharova noted that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who traveled to Kyiv so long ago, should know regarding the fate of the subjects of the United Kingdom. This means that he should not hesitate to answer.

In addition, Zakharova is now waiting for an explanation from British Foreign Minister Liz Truss regarding “what the British were doing there in principle.”

Earlier on Saturday Medvedchuk’s wife announced the capture of British mercenaries Aiden Eslin and Sean Pinner in Donbass. They surrendered to the fighters of the People’s Militia of the DPR and the Russian Armed Forces in Mariupol. She turned to the relatives of the British and urged to ask British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to “influence the Ukrainian leadership” in order to exchange Aiden and Sean for Medvedchuk, who was detained by the Kiev authorities.
