“Zakat and Customs” reveals a prerequisite for buying a car from abroad.. and clarifies the value of customs duties on it

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority revealed the conditions for buying a car from abroad and bringing it into the Kingdom.

The authority stipulated that those wishing to purchase a car from abroad, that the least year of manufacture of the car be 2017, provided that it conforms to Saudi specifications and standards and the fuel economy standard..

The authority indicated that customs duties are imposed at 5% of the value of the vehicle, and value-added tax is calculated at 15% on the total value of the vehicle with customs duties..

And she indicated that the vehicle’s specifications can be confirmed by communicating with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization to benefit from the rule of competence, during its response to an inquiry received by it regarding the possibility of buying a car from Bahrain and transferring it to the Kingdom.
