In his announcement, the Deputy Governor Fokionas Zaimis states the following:
We are continuing our innovative and substantial collaboration with the University of Patras and Physics Professor Thanasis Argiriou in order to detect and monitor atmospheric pollutants for as many days as necessary following yesterday’s fire that hit the area of the Nursing Home.
The Atmospheric Physics laboratory of the Physics Department of the University of Patras installed modern research pollution measuring machines at the Konstantopoulio Foundation and immediately started measurements in the vicinity of the Konstantopoulio Eugereio, with a suspended particle analyzer.
The first measurements are particularly reassuring for the health of our fellow citizens as well as for atmospheric pollution since they showed that the concentrations fluctuate at much lower levels than the prescribed daily limits.
The recording will continue in the coming days so that we have a clear picture of the twenty-four-hour cycle of the gatherings, stressed the Deputy Governor of Achaia Fokion Zaimis, we stand by the citizens with empathy.
