Zed takes the league runner-up with a second-half comeback once morest Pharco

Zaid came from behind to win over Pharco 2-1 in the ninth round of the Egyptian League.

Pharco’s goal was scored by: Mohamed Fakhry, while Z’s goals were scored by: Raafat Khalil and Mustafa Zico.

Zaid advanced to second place with 16 points from 8 matches, one point behind leaders Pyramids.

Pharco occupies seventeenth place – penultimate – with 5 points.

Pharco took the lead with a low shot in the second minute by Mohamed Fakhry following an advance from Ahmed Sherif.

For the first time, Fakhry scored in the Egyptian League in his 41st match, following previously wearing the shirts of Ghazl El Mahalla, Al Ahly, and the National Bank.

Zaid controlled the ball well, but without any real threat to the goal.

In the third minute of stoppage time in the first half, Ali Lotfi shone when he blocked Saif Terry’s chance, and the defender cleared it from the goal line.

In the second half, Raafat Khalil and Ahmed Abdel Naby participated instead of Mohamed Sawana and Ali Gamal.
