FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men’s golf continues their season with the Zach Johnson Invitational at Glen Oaks at West Des Moines, Iowa on Monday and Tuesday.
Tournament Schedule
The tournament tees off at 8:30 a.m. (CT) on Monday and continues Tuesday with 54-holes being played through two days. Monday will tee off at 9:30 a.m.
The Field
The Zach Johnson Invitational will see 13 teams square off at Glen Oaks Country Club this season. Along with the Bison, the field includes hosts Drake, DePaul, Houston Christian, Iowa State, Indian Hills CC, IUPUI, Loyola Chicago, North Dakota, South Dakota, St. Thomas, Northern Iowa, and Western Illinois.

The Course
Glen Oaks Country Club is a top-rated private country club located in West Des Moines, Iowa. The Golf Course at Glen Oaks Country Club is designed by world-renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio. The golf course is consistently ranked in the top three in the state of Iowa by Golf Digest and was ranked the No. 1 course in the state of Iowa in 2011.
Bison at the Zach Johnson Invitational
The Bison will be making their seventh trip to the event since a first appearance in 2016-17. NDSU is coming off of a championship at the event last season, winning the team title by two shots over Iowa State with a -12. Four Bison golfers finished in the top 12 overall, with the fifth Bison coming in 22nd.
The Bison also claimed a share of the title in 2021, finishing as co-champions with host Drake at +1. Four Bison finished in the top 23 at that event. In six trips, the Bison have never finished worse than fourth, also claiming a second, third and two fourth-place finishes.

– The Bison are coming off of a fifth-place finish at the Wildcat Fall Invitational last week, led by top 20 finishes from Nate Adams and Jack Johnson.
– Adams, who has one top five finish this season, leads the Bison in scoring average, shooting under par with a 71.67 this season through six rounds. Johnson is one stroke behind Adams this season for average, entering the week with a 72.67.
– Adams leads the team with three sub-par rounds this season, while Johnson and Gavin Cronkhite each have two. Adams and Cronkhite are tied for the team best round of 68 on the season. Adams shot a 68 in the opener at the Iowa ANF Fall Classic, while Cronkhite has shot a 68 at both tournaments this season.
Bison Competing
NDSU will take six golfers to the Wildcat Invitational. The Bison competing will be Nate Adams, Gavin Cronkhite, Beck Erholtz, Josh Galvin, Jack Johnson, and Jake Skarperud.
Looking Ahead
Men’s Golf will be back in action in two weeks at the Bill Cullum Invitational in Somis, Calif. The event, which is hosted by Cal State Northridge on Oct. 9-10, will be held at The Saticoy Club.
