music, the best
A jazz, blues and funk band will intervene with their best performance. And a well-known DJ will make the attendees vibrate with electronic music.
“This 14th we are going to launch our Yunta gin in Aluminé where he and we were born”, comment the brothers Pablo and Andrés Méndez. “This is where he comes from to make himself known and it is here where we obtain the botanicals that give rise to it. We are going to make the presentation in the same place where we produce the aromas that give it that unique herbal profile, characteristic of our place, Aluminé”they add in an interview with Yo Como.
“This is a development that took us almost a year, testing different shapes until we reached the final product that we are launching,” comments Andrés.
“We came for the gin because it is a drink to which we might give our local imprint with the local botanists; many other drinks have ingredients which cannot be replaced. In the case of gin, the possibility of botanicals to use is quite what allowed us to give it a local touch”, says Pablo.
Q – How did the idea of dedicating yourself to this come regarding?
R – The appearance of versions of gin from different regions, perhaps, has been the kick. We wondered how we don’t have something of our own, where we are an active part of the whole process. We were already cultivating some of the botanicals that we use, such as lavender, in our La Olimpia farm, and from this new project we expanded to others that occur naturally in the area, but we give them a new order.
Q – How was the evolution of this venture?
R – All new projects go through several complex stages, even more so in the context that we are going through in this country. Lack of packaging, cardboard, other inputs is truly a great stumbling block when it comes to producing. We are a bit hardheaded and with a clear objective we decided that we were going to continue and here we are and here we go.
Q – What singularities does this gin have?
R – Basically the botanicals and the processes to obtain the aromas are what differentiate one gin from another. We believe that the great difference from ours is in the botanicals we use and in the feeling of belonging that Yunta has.
Q – How much do you produce?
R – For now they are small bach and we are starting from Aluminé to be where we can go.
“The main botanicals that differentiate us are being produced in our La Olimpia farm here in Aluminé, an incredible place in our Neuquén mountain range. We are in the first stage; For now we are positioning ourselves, while we dedicate ourselves to our activities prior to the birth of Yunta”affirm the Méndez brothers.
Q – What is it like to be an entrepreneur at Aluminé?
R – We are not looking for support but we are sure that we are going to need it.
Q – How are they updated?
R – We watch and learn a lot from others.
The invitation is already made. The date, place and time have been scheduled, all that remains is to wait for Saturday to arrive at this sunset that promises to be unforgettable in Aluminé.
