The Yunlin District Prosecutor’s Office issued a press release today stating that Dade Group was planning to set up wind turbines in Yunlin County in 2019. During the period, due to opposition from local people and some members of the Yunlin County Council, it applied to the Yunlin County Government for relevant official documents, building permits, The schedule was not as smooth as expected. In order to eliminate the difficulties, the Dade Group sought the support of the speaker and some members of the parliament.

Prosecutors stated that following a long period of evidence collection, it was discovered that the Dade Group delivered a total of more than NT$26 million to Shen Zonglong, councilors Wang Youmin, Xu Liubin, and Huang Wenxiang through subcontracting manufacturers and white gloves, in the form of engineering funds and bribes. and others, to assist Dade Group to obtain relevant official documents. As councilors, Shen Zonglong and others have the right to question and supervise the Yunlin County government, put pressure on county officials, and even amend the self-government regulations to allow Dade Group to obtain relevant construction and licenses.

The prosecutor said that on the 8th, a total of 21 locations were searched for the residences and service offices of Dade Group and its subcontractors, Yunlin County Council, Shen Zonglong and others. On the 8th, interviewed Shen Zonglong, Wang Youmin and others, and admitted that there was a risk of collusion, and applied to the court for detention.
