Yungas, a business that offers technological solutions to optimize company management and communication, launched the YungasCast, podcast that aims to connect listeners to the world of innovation in national retail. YungasCast focuses on topics that revolve around innovation, efficient management, data and digital transformation, as well as trends in the world of franchising. The podcast promotes conversations that address practical challenges and real experiences in order to add value to listeners’ daily lives.
The launch of Yungas comes in a scenario in which the consumption of podcast content grows every year. Proof of this, consumption of the format grew 28% from January to September 2023, according to Spotify data shared by the website Omelet.
According to the streaming platform, Brazil is the second country in consumption and creation of podcasts in the world on Spotify, behind only the USA, but ahead of Mexico, the United Kingdom and Germany. In total, Brazil has more than 100 thousand podcasts available on the video platform and 5 million podcast titles.
Guilherme Reitz, CEO of Yungas, says that the idea for YungasCast arose from the company’s commitment to fostering knowledge and strengthening the business and franchising ecosystem.
“We observed that a podcast would be a way of sharing experiences and good practices, while offering a closer and more accessible channel to connect people and ideas”, he states.
According to Reitz, the company believes that, through the audio format, it is possible to reach both leaders and franchise operators in a practical and dynamic way. “In addition, as Yungas serves large networks, we learned the best way to operate and felt the need to share this with people.”
Reitz explains that the company noticed that many networks were looking for in-depth content on innovation, management and market trends in the world of franchising, but that there was a lack of more flexible and interactive formats to access this information.
“As the podcast allows consumption during routine moments, such as commuting or day-to-day activities, we saw it as a strategic way of sharing relevant knowledge and expanding dialogue with our network, strengthening relationships with franchisors, franchisees and partners”, states. “And not just our customers, but everyone who wants to know more about the topic”, he adds.
Among the topics covered and participation in the first episodes, YungasCast covered:
- Episode 1 – “Entrepreneurship to expand: lessons from Delivery Much for franchisors – How to expand franchises”;
- Episode 2 – “How large chains engage their franchisees”;
- Episode 3 – “How to innovate and grow with your network”, with Victor, CEO of VIP barbershop;
- Episode 4 – “How to use data to increase franchise results”, with Guilherme Faraco.
- Episode 5 – “Mauro Nomura and the franchisee’s role in building brand image”, with Mauro Nomura
According to the CEO of Yungas, public reception has been positive: “Our audience gave feedback on the relevance of the topics and the depth of the discussions. Many commented that the podcast format brought practical insights applicable to their daily lives, in addition to strengthening the bond with Yungas as a strategic partner. Since we started the project, we have had more than 400 subscribers on the channel,” he reports.
“We also noticed an increase in engagement, with listeners recommending episodes and suggesting themes for future editions”, he adds.
