Yulimar sets a new national record in Indoor Long Jump

The Olympic champion of Tokyo 2020, Yulimar Rojas, continues to take firm steps in the Long Jump, the modality that she decided to resume for this 2022, following conquering all the possible marks as a triple jumper.

The queen of Venezuelan athletics participated in her second Long Jump test this Thursday by saying she was present at the Meeting of Pasos de Calais, in France. And she in the blink of an eye she achieved a new feat and hung the gold.

Rojas twice broke the national indoor long jump record, which already had his name on it since February 2020, when he jumped 6.59m in Valencia, Spain.

First he did it on his second attempt with a jump of 6.77 meters. And later, in the fourth jump, he improved the mark once more to leave an incredible record of 6.81 meters.

Although his last two jumps were null, Rojas had no problem hanging the gold.

The Spanish Fatima Diame and María Vicente were silver and bronze with records of 6.64 and 6.62 meters, respectively.
