RB team racer Yuki Tsunoda is confident ahead of the home race in the Japanese GP at the Suzuka International Circuit, this weekend.
This feeling of confidence emerged following Tsunoda’s fairly stable performance in the opening three series of Formula 1, namely the Bahrain GP, Saudi Arabian GP and Australian GP.
“Our performance was a bit less good last year. On some tracks we performed a bit worse. But, so far, we haven’t experienced that. We consistently perform well, so I’m sure we will perform well at Suzuka and other tracks,” said Tsunoda on the website official Formula 1, quoted Thursday (4/4).
Tsunoda is in 11th position in the drivers’ standings and has collected a total of 6 points from three races.
Even though he is still far from catching up with the top racers in front of him, the 23 year old racer is determined to focus on improving himself this season.
With a potential seat up for grabs at Red Bull next year, not to mention the threat of Liam Lawson who played well in place of Daniel Ricciardo last year, it’s an exciting time to be in the Red Bull stable with Tsunoda.

“I’m happy to show my performance and people are paying more attention to me than in the last three years, so yes, this is a good sign,” he said.
The racer from Sagamihara and Ricciardo and the team are still working hard to improve their performances in various races this season.
“Hopefully we can make the car go faster and be competitive,” said Tsunoda.
The first and second free practice for the 2024 Japanese GP will be held on Friday (5/4) at 09.30 WIB and 13.00 WIB, followed by the third free practice a day later at 09.30 WIB and qualifying at 13.00 WIB. The main race will start on Sunday (7/3) at 12.00 WIB. (Ant/Z-1)
