Yucatan Lions: The suspense continues; today will be the fourth duel against the Devils

Although the Diablos Rojos have such a wide advantage that it seems unreachable for the Leones de Yucatán, the suspense will always be an added value when the long-haired and the infernals face each other, especially in playoff times.

And so thousands of spectators were left in suspense yesterday, both those in person and those following it on TV or social media. The rain that began to fall before 6 pm forced the suspension of the fourth game of the series, yesterday at the “Víctor Cervera Pacheco” Stadium in Kanasín.

At 9:30 p.m. the sixth umpires came out to make the upward movement of their hands announcing the postponement of the match. It was scheduled to be played today at 7:35 p.m.

A period of waiting that can serve for many things, especially for the team from the jungle, which will have to put many ideas in order after the collapse experienced in the last games. Mexico, counting regular season and playoffs, has seven consecutive victories over Yucatan, and four have been in Kanasín.

Stoic wait

Many fans dared to go to the baseball park and stoically waited the necessary time, but the rain was barely stopping after the men in blue disappeared from the diamond. God Chaac was capricious, no doubt, because of all the suspensions this year in these parts, several times it happened like yesterday: official announcement, and end of the rain.

The managers of both teams kept the same cards to open this game. Lorenzo Bundy announced José Bravo for the Diablos, and Roberto Vizcarra will go with the Venezuelan left-hander Félix Doubront.

The Lions need to win to stay alive. The Devils, as several people said yesterday, want to get out the brooms. There are many pending issues.— Gaspar Silveira
