The end of the freeze agreed upon by the oil companies already has its first impacts. The majority state firm has already updated prices at the pumps. At the country level the increase was between 10 and 12%, but in Neuquén that difference is greater.

The survey carried out by RÍO NEGRO Diary at service stations reveals that the oil super went from $262 to $300the Infinia gasoline jumped from $331 to $374, diesel increased from $327 to $368 while the infinite diesel went from $418 to $466.

Another relevant data has to do with the cost of premium diesel at the Añelo stations, in the heart of Vaca Muerta where this Saturday it began to be worth $496 per liter. This fuel is one of the most used in the industry.

The new values represent in Neuquén an increase of between 12 y 13% in relation to the prices at the beginning of November (last increase), depending on the variety of each fuel. This equals an average increase of $40 per liter.

The expectation is now the responsibility of the rest of the oil companies, which traditionally take YPF’s price movements as a reference, which is why it is expected that they will also report updates to their suppliers in the next few hours.

The increase on November 25 is the second in the month and occurs in the midst of strong uncertainty regarding the projects that YPF has assets.mainly in Vaca Muerta and that might be modified with the possible privatization sought by the national government, which Javier Milei will command.
